{ Our Cozy & Rustic Christmas Farmhouse Dining Room }

Welcome back to a fresh new week here on TQS!! Today is the day I share our cozy farmhouse style Christmas dining room!!!! I've been waiting to blog this room for over a week now & feel today is the perfect day! I didn't want to "jump the gun" on blogging our Christmas dining room, even though I have blogged several Christmas posts already... I know many people will say" What about your Thanksgiving dining room"? Well, truth be told I'm not really into Thanksgiving decor & I don't host Thanksgiving, so that issue is settled right haha?! This year's Christmas dining room is definitely my favorite since I started blogging as more than just a hobby which is strange because it was the easiest this year..or maybe I'm just getting better ahahah ;)! I wanted a warm authentic, but neutral farmhouse themed dining room this year with lots of warm wood tones, gold accents & greenery! I know the whites, creams & glam is really popular this year, but since when do I follow the masses right? Enough babble lets take a tour of our 2016 Christmas Dining Room decked out!!!
P.S. I'm sorry in advance for the long post😉

When I started this year's table & dining room decor I really didn't have a plan like past years..I kind of just took everything out of boxes & got to work on the tablescape first! I knew I wanted something neutral & rustic, but also warm & cozy! I used everything I had from last year with the exceptions of the wall sign, chargers & something in the kitchen area I'll be blogging soon!

I wanted this dining room to be warm & have many neutral/natural touches, so I added some simple pine-cones, a few twig trees & some garland! The chalkboard & authentic 1940's barn door help tie in that warm rustic farmhouse feel! The wreath is from +HomeGoods

Imperfect is perfect in my book..These gold chargers are from Dollar Tree, the plates are passed down from my grandma & the farmhouse ticking stripe napkins are from +Bed Bath & Beyond  on sale for $1.79!!!

This is the piece that set the tone for our whole Christmas dining room!! So my sister & I were at +Target 2 weeks ago & I spotted this sign...Now little fun fact- I love Target but rarely buy wall decor  from them..No reason just a fact. I broke that rule with this sign & that other kitchen piece as I talked about above! I wanted gold accents with the rustic farmhouse this year & this fit perfectly!

Super simple this year, but with lots of texture, neutral tones & lots of new DIY! I'm loving the barn door, chalkboard & pantry this year!! I think it added sooo much farmhouse charm to our little #suburbancottage

We always have a tree in our dining room for Christmas. This year galvanized tubs, crocks, trays & baskets are super trendy for "tree skirts"..Well you guys know I'm always doing something a bit different so I used a vintage wood barrel!!! I'm absolutely obsessed how it looked with the wood ladder, vintage bells & farmhouse pantry!! I mean how cozy??!

I hung the sign & then picked up these JOY & NOEL plates for less than $3 at Target, and then added some garland & gold rimmed plates to match the table ones...SO SIMPLE!!!

Everything including the cabinet is vintage in this picture with the exception of the basket & greenery!
