{ DIY Chalkboard Pen Phone Case }

Hey everyone! I hope your week has been going as you hoped thus far. I've been feeling pretty lousy these last few days & today { Tuesday } I felt pretty b a d! Finally around 6pm I felt somewhat better to where I could move & decided to finished a quick 20 minute project. Although it's not the larger project I wanted to tackle in our dining room today it did inspire me to blog it. So my husband got me the new Galaxy s7 Edge a few weeks ago & I needed a case..Well, I'm wayyyy to cheap to buy the $35 case & it being a really new phone cases are hard to find! I know what you're probably wondering ..Why wouldn't I pay the $35 to protect such an expensive phone?! Ya, about that ..I would have never gotten the new Galaxy , but my husband's phone broke so he took mine & nicely gave me the brand new one. We all know how I'm SO NOT into electronics etc.. haha. Anyways, I found a cheap $5 case after a month, but it was hot pink.. Ya, not me!!! I felt like I was a teeny bopper back in #circa2006  with all my pink & bling on hahaha eeek!  I decided I would paint it with some chalkboard paint I had laying around, season it for that "used"/written look & then use a chalkboard pen I got +Target  for $3! So see you get the look of a chalkboard without all the mess! Come see this nifty DIY!
 Supplies:

  • Chalkboard Paint
  • Cheap or Worn Phone Case
  • Sponge Brush
  • Chalk
  • Paper
  • Chalkboard Pen
 1.)
Grab some chalkboard paint, paper to paint on & your case. This case was plastic & super simple to paint. I applied about 3 coats.

2.)
Let the 3 coats dry , which will take around 20 minutes give or take.

 3.)
Next go ahead & write whatever you want on the case. I just quickly wrote - The Quaint Sanctuary - . Nothing special, but it works.

4.)
  After the surface is completely dry take some chalk & "season" the entire case. Wipe the access off. This case being plastic the seasoned area stuck pretty well for that "used" or authentic chalkboard look.

See easy peasy!

I hope you all enjoy your Wednesday! :)
